New SSL Security Certificate on infocp1.infolog.ca

Posted on May 16, 2014 by - Support Desk Home

If your site is located on our infocp1.infolog.ca server we have good news. We have moved from a self signed SSL certificate to a browser trusted CA issued certificate. So what does this do for you? Well it means you wont have to endure browser warnings about the control panel not being trusted. The login was always protected via SSL encryption, but now no warnings!

On the ftp side you will still have to accept the certificate (see image 1 below).  Ftp clients don’t have trusted certificates stored. Once you do the login and session information will be protected by using explicit encryption over TLS. Almost all ftp clients support explicit encryption over TLS, so stay safe and use it!
